The first-person shooter arcade game Call of Duty 3 is the third major installment of the Call of Duty series. The game was developed by Treyarch and was published by Activision. The game can be played in both single-player campaigns as well as multiplayer mode.

Overview on the launch of Call of Duty 3
The Call of Duty 3 was launched out of necessity and with a desire of dominating the market. Somewhere or the other it was important for the sake of capitalizing on the immense success of Call of Duty 2. The only obstacle was that the infinity ward was wishing to keep the standard high by maintaining two years production schedule. The game supports approximately 24 players for the first time match. However, the game consists of five modes and few maps.
